,,A Chaos of Flowers” is work done with photographs taken by an unknown photographer of my mother when she visited Japan in the year 1988.
The archive became a portal back in time to explore scenes that were captured yet never seen. A Chaos of Flowers shows us that even though the photograph is a slice of time, when it is taken out of context it can obscure the truth. From the innocent tourist photographs scenes in the background unfold as a story on its own with real characters. An eerie atmosphere makes us question the authenticity of a photograph.
